I sat down to watch the Concert For Diana at 3.30pm on BBC 1, i had already hung a picture of Diana in my window and it was receiving alot of attention from people who passed my house.
I remembered back to 1985 watching Live Aid and seeing Princess Diana enjoying the music and thought how different it would have been had she been here to celebrate her 46th birthday.
The concert began with Sir Elton John performing "Your Song" to a back drop of large photos of Diana taken by Mario Testino and i could feel a lump in my throat and thought that this was going to be an emotional journey.
His song finished, Elton introduced Prince's William and Harry to the crowd and i felt so proud that the world had these 2 young men to keep Diana's legacy alive.
The concert was a combination of all of Diana's favourite music, shows, and ballet.
Duran Duran kicked off the show and soon had the audience dancing in their seats.
Having been teenager of the 80's i didn't recognise some of the newer acts like The Feeling or Orson but they have a good rocking performance, as did acts like Lily Allen and Joss Stone.
The highlights of the concert for me were P Diddy who dedicated his song "Missing You" to Princess Diana and he got the whole Wembley audience stirred up into remembering Diana.
I also enjoyed Rod Stewart who had the crowd all swaying to "Sailing" and when Take That came on stage to peform "Shine", Patience and "Back for Good" i couldn't help thinking how perfect it would have been if Robbie Williams had rejoined them for the concert.
The performances from Andrew Lloyd Webber's musicals were also brilliant and i admit to having another lump in my throat watching Andrea Bocelli sing "Music of The Night" with such a beautiful voice.
This Concert for Diana organised by her sons William and Harry was the perfect way to comemmorate Princess Diana's life with happy memories, remembering all the happiness she brought to people's lives and how beautiful a person she was on the inside as well as outside.
" I will never forget seeing grown men crying, whilst P - Diddy sang "Missing You"
